The decision to start schools on the 23rd was also averted after schools had been open for more than six months in view of the Corona epidemic. It has been decided to keep the schools closed till further orders. Since then, the examination pattern has also been changed by the education department. In which the proportion of objective questions in standard 9,10,11 (science stream and general stream), standard 12 general stream examination question paper has been increased from 20 per cent to 30 per cent. The proportion of 50 per cent objective questions (OMR method) and 50 per cent descriptive questions will remain the same in standard 12 science stream.
ENGLISH (S.L) (013) STANDARD – 12 (ARTS & COMMERS) NEW PAPER METHOD:
As per the revised syllabus of Std. 10 and 12 subjects by Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, details per chapter, structure and format of question papers as well as details of marks per chapter and structure of question papers as per revised syllabus of Std. 9 and 11 subjects have been presented by Gujarat Board of Secondary Education.

While for the academic year 2020-21, the question papers of the school examination of standard 9 to 12 will have to be prepared at the school level. The change in the examination system will also be applicable in the academic year 2020-21 due to the existing Covid 19 status.
